This is a journey to activate Zone 23 and Mongolia on 2 meter EME. It is fueled by
enthusiasm, restrained by time, dreamed by many and financed by contributions and
handshakes within the EME community. A large thank you especially to Dave-W5UN, the
"Dreamer" in our Dream Team and large financial contributor to this outing in Mongolia. Also
to my host and "instant info center" Khos-JT1CD with his aid in logistics and licensing and
Jim-K7YO-JT1YO for dragging himself along and activating 432 during the 2009 ARRL
International EME Competition.
This will be a short visit, with full attention being given to each moon pass of JT1UN. I will
be operating from both the head quarters of the Mongolian Amateur Radio Society, MARS,
JT1KAA and hopefully also from JT5 in the Tov or Selenge provinces. My call will always be
JT1UN or JT1UN/JT5 when mobile outside the Ulaanbaatar province. Photos here.
During operation, my updates will go to Guido (Guy), DL8EBW and will be available at:
http://www.MMMonVHF.de
JT1UN will be found at 144.143MHz always second. I will also be watching and answering
CQ in the CW portion of the band, During the contest. There is no inter-net at any of the
planned operating positions. Any communication will be via email when the moon is below
the horizon. I will accept skeds from Small stations for qso attempts on the 12-14th October
moons, After the contest.

JT1UN will be a single M2 XPol long Yagi, 2mxp32 and 400 watts. I will have polarity
selection, elevation and have a very hot receiver.

I will be leaving the 2MXP32 behind as a gift to JT1KAA for hosting us and with the hope it
will aid in Mongolia and JT1KAA becoming a permanent 144MHz signal on the moon.
Sure to work many of you.....73 Jeremy JT1UN W7EME
